From My Kitchen and Nightstand

Hi Reader!

This week feels simple in the best way. A little baking, a few slow mornings, and some things I’ve been reaching for again and again. I thought I’d share a handful of favorites in case you need something cozy to make or something nourishing to try.

The Best Sourdough Discard Scones with Mixed Berries
These are tender, lightly sweet, and filled with bursts of berries in every bite. I love using up extra discard this way. They feel special enough for company but easy enough for a quiet morning at home with coffee.

Milled Wheat Lemon Poppy Seed Sourdough Muffins
Bright lemon and freshly milled wheat make these muffins one of my favorite spring bakes. They are hearty but still soft, with just the right balance of citrus and sweetness. Perfect for breakfast or tucked into a lunch basket.

The Best Fluffy Sourdough Pancake Discard Recipe
If you have discard sitting in your jar, this is one of the easiest ways to use it. These pancakes turn out fluffy and golden every time. We make them often, especially on slower mornings when everyone lingers at the table a little longer.

Tallow and Honey Balm (Old-Fashioned Honey Tallow Balm Recipe)
I have been using this every single night, and it has helped so much. It is rich, simple, and incredibly soothing. There is an option in the recipe to add 1 tablespoon of olive oil, but during this season I leave it out for a thicker balm. I love it that way! It feels protective and nourishing, especially with the colder air.

That is what has been filling my kitchen and evenings lately.

If you try any of these recipes, I would love to see them. Tag me on Instagram so I can share your creations!

Love,
Stephanie
