Pancakes, whipped honey butter, and peach season

Hey Reader!

There is something about summer mornings that makes a homemade breakfast feel especially good.

Maybe it is the slower pace, having everyone home a little more, or simply knowing there are fresh berries, peaches, and other seasonal foods waiting to be enjoyed.

If pancakes sound good this week, I have two recipes to choose from, depending on what you have on hand.

Whole Wheat Pancakes Recipe with Fresh Milled Flour and Sourdough Option

These pancakes are made with fresh milled whole wheat flour and have a soft, hearty texture. The recipe also includes a sourdough option, so you can use your starter if you would like to add it.

The Best Fluffy Sourdough Pancake Discard Recipe

If you have sourdough discard waiting in the refrigerator, these pancakes are one of the easiest ways to use it. They turn out light and fluffy and make a simple breakfast that everyone enjoys.

And whichever pancakes you make, this whipped honey butter belongs on top:

Homemade Whipped Honey Butter Recipe

It is light, creamy, and easy to make with just a few ingredients. It is delicious on warm pancakes, toast, biscuits, muffins, or a fresh slice of homemade bread.

Peach season is also getting underway, so I wanted to share two recipes to keep in mind when you start seeing fresh peaches at farmers markets, roadside stands, or the grocery store.

Easy Sourdough Discard Peach Quick Bread Recipe

This quick bread is soft, full of fresh peaches, and a practical way to use sourdough discard. It makes a good breakfast, afternoon snack, or simple treat with a cup of coffee or tea.

Low Sugar Peach Jam, Easy Canning Recipe Without Pectin

If you find peaches at a good price, this low-sugar peach jam is a wonderful way to preserve some for later. It is made without added pectin and lets the flavor of the peaches come through without being overly sugary.

Whether you are making pancakes for breakfast, spreading honey butter over something warm, or putting up a few jars of peach jam, I hope you find something here to enjoy this week.
